Very inspiring…the coordination of our mind that translate it into our hand sketches creates a realm of imagination in our paper which was inspired by the environment we have been living…

No person who is not a great sculptor or painter can be an architect. If he is not a sculptor or painter, he can only be a builder.

I’m a high school student and I want to study architecture. Do I need to have good art skills? What other good advice do you have for me? Thanks for your help!

Hi! Thanks for your question.

I’ve already done a bit on advice, but as far as art goes- one does not have to necessarily be the best artist in the world to be an architect. One needs to understand aesthetics, which is what appeals to the human’s eye. You need to understand design. Architects usually have very good taste in all things art (movies, photography, music, fashion, etc.) because they exercise what “good design” is every day.

Cultivate your design eye, and practice some form of art to get your creative juices flowing!

Thanks for checking out this blog, and I hope this helped!
